A win’s a win… it wasn’t pretty but goals from Aled & Asa see us through to the next round.
Dan’s thoughts from the bench:
“It wasn’t a good performance by our levels of late, but we’ve done what we needed to do to win the game. We started well, scored early, and looked pretty good in the first twenty minutes, and then conceded what I regard as a sloppy goal and that gave them a lift.
We had a chat at half time to address a couple of things, tidied up on our shape and some processes, and I feel we were better during the second half, still not great though. What is pleasing is we’ve scored two good goals and our goalkeeper has had nothing to do in the second half.
We are now looking forward to our first week without a midweek game since the season started – the players have been immense over the course of things so far, they are putting in so much work away from contact sessions, and we are looking forward to attacking next Saturday in a positive manner as we look to achieve another victory.
Thanks once again to everyone who has come to support us today, we appreciate it!”
