Dan’s thoughts from the bench…
“We’re disappointed with the first half performance, we didn’t show enough quality and we gave up possession far too cheaply for the majority of the game. Despite this, we still created four or five really good chances to score and on balance should have gone into half time in the lead.
The second half was much better, we created a further load of chances, hit the post, and scored a very good goal.
We had far more control in the game and if we had taken our chances would have been comfortable winners, so we are extremely disappointed to not pick up three points.
We’ll analyse the game over the weekend and look to improve ahead of Tuesday night’s home game against Guilsfield.
On a more positive note, we’ve picked up 21 points from losing positions so far this season, so we certainly don’t lack the character to keep going when we are in difficult moments, but of course it would be nice to not have to come from behind so often!
Thanks for everyone’s support, we really appreciate it and look forward to seeing you all at The Globe again over the next week.”
