A beautiful evening in mid-Wales and a feisty match in the JD Cymru North. with no quarter given by either side. The first half was combative, passionate and both sides were up for the battle. Chances fell to both teams but went begging as both ‘keepers made good saves, but it was the home team who drew first blood moments after the restart – a fine passing move ended with a superb curling effort into the top corner. But the Bucks refused to back down and took the game to Guilsfield, with Asa making a nuisance of himself against his old team. In the end, patience paid off as Dylan picked the ball up midway in Guilsfield’s half, drove forward and fired a powerful drive passed the G’s keeper. In the end, a limping Asa was in defence and with the last kick of the game Joe’s bar was rattled, but the ref’s whistle after nearly ten minutes of added time saw a point apiece and keeps us well up the JD Cymru North table as we head to Holywell at the weekend.
