Dan’s thoughts from the bench:
“The game was far too open for our liking, especially during the second half but probably during the whole game. We lacked control and that is disappointing, we think we know why but until watching the game again it’s difficult to say for sure at this moment.
Fair play to Holywell, I thought they approached the game really well considering their early red card, they got on top in the second half and we struggled to get ourselves up the pitch, and even get on the ball at all which stopped us from using our spare player enough.
We are extremely disappointed with the goals we’ve conceded, all three of them were completely avoidable and we are conceding far too many, something we need to address moving forward. Having said this, we kept going to the end and didn’t get beat, after last Saturday it was important not to.
If we were offered four points from our two fixtures with Holywell this season we probably would have taken it, we now have another tough game away at Ruthin to prepare for.
In the meantime… Happy Christmas!”
