Lace Up and Speak Up – Club commitment to support LGBTQ+ inclusion

Football is often called ‘the people’s game’ but can it truly claim to be that when LGBTQ+ fans feel unsafe and unwelcome at sporting events and whilst there is only one openly gay top tier men’s footballer?

On December 11th at our JD Cymru Leagues North away match at Gresford, our senior team will be raising awareness by wearing rainbow laces, with the aim of starting the conversation in Buckley and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

The club is committed to bringing the community together, to celebrate our differences, ensure that we make everyone feel welcome, and create a positive environment for fans to show their support.

Let’s have the conversations and make The Globe a place for everyone.
